Testosterone levels and prescriptions

I’ve just got my blood test results back and my free androgen index is 1.1. So just above where testosterone is normally prescribed, but still pretty low.

My libido is pretty rubbish and this does bother me. I also feel quite a bit of brain fog, although this has improved a bit with Everol, it hasn’t improved as much as I’d hoped.

I also strength train and I’m fairly active and just feel a bit gutted that all the hard work that I’m putting in to build some muscle and get better at my hobby (bouldering) isn’t really doing much.

Does anyone have any experience of getting testosterone prescribed when you are in an official normal range, or any other experience of raising testosterone levels with things like supplements?

Currently on everol50 (just been prescribed everol75) and mirena coil.

I get Androfemme on private prescription. My doctor said that women usually start to feel the benefits when their level reach 2.2 and up so you would probably benefit from adding it to your HRT routine. It was definitely the missing piece of the puzzle for me.

Mine were .6 before testagel, shot up to 3.2 in 6 weeks and certainly had an impact on my libido.

Thank you for the replies.

My doctor said for me to get my oestrogen numbers up to 400 (currently at 240) and see if I’m still having symptoms and go from there. She said she’s not against prescribing it, but wanted to get my oestrogen up first. Sounds like I might have a GP who actually knows about menopause!

Mine was 0.5 been on testagel for just over a week. I had to go see a gyno consultant as GP (over the phone) would've give me a prescription.

So frustrating every GP is different.

For those on testagel, how long did it take so feel a difference!
