Hi ladies , I started oestrogel 2 pumps which had to read form leaflet as doctors never said how much to have, and utrogestan on the 10th November still having light bleeds. On the box of utrogestan it said to take from day 1 to day 25 ,100mg but ask on here when to start them again and a few of you said that they are now say to take them for 12 day 200mg which I did and was starting to feel well again, have a little bit of spotting but that was it,just started the second week of just the gel and my symptoms have started to come back ,bad headache, hot flushes and aching knees

Have been off the capsules for a week did not know if I should start taking them now 100mg until day 25 or just see how I get on
Have rang doctors not got a phone call until next Monday hoping he will say I can go to menopause clinic .
Hope this make sense, just don't know what to do, I know we are all different but some advice would be great
Thank you
Paula x

It's just ridiculous that drs don't explain this properly. What is wrong with them? Day after day women come here asking this.

Anyway- it's easy!

If you are having periods, you use Utrogestan on a cycle, otherwise known as sequential HRT.

It is supposed to mimic a normal menstrual cycle.

So, you take it for 12 days (24 capsules in total - 2 per day) .

You can start on any day of the month when you start it, but keep to that date every month.

You now need to wait until 10December and take 12 days again from there.

It's too early to see huge changes with the gel just yet - it's only been a couple of weeks.

Give it 3 months to settle into a pattern.

You really don't need a menopause clinic- it's down to your dr to tell you how to use HRT and if they are clueless, this is what this forum is for!
