Reacting to estradiol patches

Hi everyone! I’ve been on hrt for about 3 months and after trying a few different types am taking Climara 50 estradiol patch and Prometrium 100 (Ustrogen in the uk) each night. This has been working really well for me with no more horrid menopause symptoms except for the occasional waking at 3am and feeling a bit tired. However, after a 2 months of Climara patches I found they were burning my skin and even leaving little welts after day 6, also burning feeling when I was in the bath. My GP gave me a script for Estradot 50 no skin reaction so far but my tongue and mouth have this tingling burning feeling for the last 2 days. I also feel very headachy, irritable and getting that surge of angry I use to get before I started hrt! Should I ask for a Estraderm patch instead? I know Climara are soy based and Prometrium are yam base so I’m not sure it’s that? Are Estradot absorbed more quickly? Anyway my levels after 2 months of hrt have been ok 175 est and 17 prog so obviously Climara was working. Thank you!
