Needing very little sleep

I'm 2 weeks in to hrt and seem to only need a few hours sleep.

Anyone else? Will it settle?

I'm on the lowest dose possible I believe, not prescribed in the uk (I'm in europe) activelle 0.5 oestrogen, 1.0 progesterone. But CANNOT sleep.

I'm able because I just fell out of bed too ffs.

I've dropped out carbs and that always makes me need very little sleep but this is even worse.

Also, seem to be getting the start of a bleed, no idea what type as I'm not quite 12m period free, last period was end of Jan/beginning of Feb.

Yes I found it settles around 4-5 weeks in

Ok good 🙏

This is ridiculous.

I think, but don't quote me, it can affect things like cortisol response etc as I've seen in other forums that women who have to have cortisol response tests have to come off hrt for a good period of time, beyond the time it takes for oestrogen to leave the body. (eg testing for addisons disease, which I've ironically had a while ago and I think was actually the start of perimenopause. I didn't sleep for a couple of days after that as I don't have addisons thankfully. that's just my speculation though.)

I feel v buzzy and struggle with sleep every time I go up a patch level. Especially early waking. I also seem to be more anxious for a while. Then suddenly it clicks. I liken it to how antidepressants work in me - but every one is different. I even got the crazy dreams I've had early on with ads before, when I first started hrt.

This is why they say give it a good 3-4 months.

It's possible that you're on too high a starting level though and could threaten up more slowly. I'm not sure how your dose translates though. For example, I've gone up by half a 25 patch first for a couple of months when raising to 100. And I still don't think I'm right yet (or need testosterone) but trying very hard to give it a decent 3 months before I go back!

I cant sleep til the early hours then am tired when I get up.

I don't feel hyped, I feel depressed. But that could just be the end of ttc.
