Skin rash after utrogestan.

I’ve recently started HRT, the oestrogen part went OK.
As soon as I started the utrogestan I felt drowsy and then by day 2 I woke up with red skin around one eye.
At first I just thought I slept funny , but now it’s clear it’s a skin rash.
After day 3 I’m red between my eye brows and red on cheeks . Skin is bumpy/raised.

Ive never suffered from dermatitis or any kind of skin allergy before.

Anyone else had this ??
shall I just stop ?
also - thanks for Google I read about a woman who stopped but carried on having bad skin rashes as her body couldn’t snake it off .. aaarhrhr

finally - does anyone get why utrogestan is not correlated to the amount of estrogen?
im on a tiny dose but get same amount of progesterone as women in 4 pumps.

Yes! I developed perioral dermatitis after starting HRT. Although for me it seemed to be triggered by the estrogen. If it’s between your eyes it might be seborrheic dermatitis? I came off HRT after 3 months for that and other reasons and my skin got better immediately. Although I’ve needed a prescription of a cream from the GP to hopefully clear it up completely.

Hmm it’s weird and I don’t like it.
today I noticed even my earlobes have got bumpy rough skin.

To add to it, my GP follow up just for postponed 2 weeks today so have to wake 3 weeks to discuss it with the doctor..

if this doesn’t go away, I will have to come off it …

Yep - it’s not a much-acknowledged side effect I don’t think. Mine is finally nearly cleared up (about 5 weeks after coming off HRT).

I had this but when I switched my skin creams and makeup to ones that were for sensitive skin it improved. The HRT just makes my skin ultra sensitive. I’d much rather make these adjustments rather than give up on HRT so it works for me.
