Is it possible I’m going through early menopause??

Hi all. I will be booking a docs app tomorrow morning but I just need to see if anyone else has gone through what I’m going through.

Back in July I had the heaviest period of my life. I was leaking through a super tampon in the space of 2 hours for 2 days. Since then my period have only been light pink spotting lasting 5 days. Even with the length of 5 days the amount of blood I passed would not fill a pantyliner. Past two months I have been getting bad cramps all over. From low down to my belly button and lower back and now have started to get acne. I spot some times for an hour if I get really bad cramps and have spotted after sex on two occasions. I had a new sexual partner so I took myself to the sexual health clinic and I’m all clear but I do have BV which I’m being treated for now but the nurse told me BV would not affect my periods and that I need to go drs. I don’t know if it’s the antibiotics but I had stringy discharge that was black when I wiped and my knickers looked like someone tried colouring them in with a black marker pen. I’ve also been a lot gassier than normal and can even feel the gas travel inside of me.

can someone give me an insight in to what is going on with me please so hopefully I worry less. I just feel like my drs palm me off. I’ve been on contraceptive pill for many years and have always been normal and regular so surely it cannot be that? I’ve even ended it with my sexual partner because I really don’t know what’s going on with my body.

That doesn't sound like what I know about perimenopause but I'd wonder about something like fibroids or another condition. See your GP who will be able to exam you and order a scan.

No one can say without knowing how old you are.

But your symptoms don't sound like peri menopause, they do sound like some gynae problem that needs checking out.

I doesn't sound anything like my experience of menopause but I'd definitely go to the doctor with those symptoms.

I’m 32 and my thoughts went to perimenopausal as my grandmother started her menopause at the young age of 33. I will be booking a drs appointment in the morning. I just feel so down and I keep snapping at the kids, i apologise immediately after and I feel really bad about it. I randomly start crying for no reason and to be honest the whole ordeal is just doing my head in.
