Ok so I've bit the bullet and made an appointment to have the coil fitted next week. I am terrified of the pain aspect but I need to do it . Plan after it's fitted is to go to Gp and ask for evorel 50 and hopefully that will help all my symptoms settle a bit . Fingers crossed x

I had the copper coil fitted years ago now, but honestly, the procedure was totally fine and I'm the biggest wimp going.

I think it depends on who you get, I actually went to a sexual health clinic at local hospital. I guess that's what they deal with day in and day out so she was probably good at fitting them lol.

I know everyone is different but I had no problem at all, was a little pain for less than a second then done. No need to be scared or tense 💐

I had no pain whatsoever with my Mirena. It was like having a smear.
