HRT question - progesterone

Hi all,

I have a question about HRT.

I started Lenzetto spray and utrogestan in April this year. So far so good until this current menstrual cycle.

My last period was surprisingly short and light (3 days). I started taking my monthly utrogestan on 11th November which was day 15 of that cycle. The next day my period started unexpectedly and annoyingly and has been back to heavy and has actually gone on for longer than usual.

I've carried on taking the utrogestan, so on day 6 now, so my question is do I carry on taking it for the current 12 days? And if so, when should I start the next monthly 12 day cycle of taking it?

I usually start taking it on day 15 of my cycle, but if I do that this for cycle I will stop taking it on day 12 (22nd November) and then start taking it again on day 15 (25th November).

I hope this makes sense, it's only just occurred to me this morning and I'm really confused! Thanks for sticking with it if you've read this far! Smile

Taking HRT will reset your cycle, so don't even attempt to follow your own!

You need to keep taking it for another 6 days, then start again on 11December, then 11 Jan, 11Feb etc.

It may take a while to get into the pattern of the predictable withdrawal bleed but this is the way to do it.

@JinglingXmasbells thank you for your reply. Yes that makes absolute sense, sticking to the same date each month, I've been quite confused by the whole thing I think. Thank you 🙏
