Help - waking up every 2 hours!

I'm 54 and definitely menopausal. Unlike full blown insomnia, I do get back to sleep within 5 minutes, but it means I'm waking 3-4 times a night. It is really taking it's toll now - very tired during the day, trouble concentrating at work etc.
If ANYONE has had a similar problem and found a solution which works, I would be extremely grateful! I'm doing all the sensible things like avoiding caffeine and alcohol, and limiting my liquid intake before bed. I also take a magnesium supplement.
Can't remember the last time I slept for more than 3 hours straight!! Thanks in advance x

I was just like you op.
After struggling for years I mentioned this to the pharmacist at my local gp practice.

She was amazing. Prescribed phernergan, an old school antihistamine.
worked from the first night.

I take 10mg tablet but double up sometimes if I want a really good night's sleep.

Hope this helps.

If you are able to I recommend the boots sleepeaze tablets. Only for short term use but it broke the cycle for me I was experiencing the same sort of thing and I tried this each night for a week then went to every other night and tailed it off. I take one occasionally now if I have had a couple of bad nights
