Surgical menopause and hrt

Hi I had a ovarian cyst and ovaries removed in August. The surgeon prescribed hrt which I started in September. I have now contacted my GP to request further hrt. They say they are waiting for letter from surgeon to say what type of hrt and whether I can have it.
The surgery went well and the cyst was benign as confirmed unmy medical notes and in a letter from surgeon.
I only have 2 patches left so I'm getting stressed at the idea of running out!!
Any ideas of what I can say to gp to convince them to give me the hrt??:

Sorry for dripfeed, I should mention that I saw the gp in July before the operation and she said she was happy to give me hrt and I should just ring the practice up to request it when I was ready for it!

You don't need to convince them, surely.

Direct them to the first letter and ask for a repeat. How is it an issue for them?

Thanks for the quick reply!

I think something has just got lost in translation or something!

If necessary call your surgeon's PA and ask for the original letter to be forwarded again by email.

If the GP uses snail mail you could be waiting forever (if they have lost the original letter.)

Thank you I will try that. I'm just upset that something so necessary has been delayed for no good reason!
