Starting evorel sequi - which day

Because my brain is full of cotton wool I've read the instructions two ways and can't make up my mind! It says you start it within 5 days of start of period, so I can put it on on first or day 5?

Then I read that if irregular periods, you can just start it. Was prescribed these 3 weeks ago, waiting for my period!

i'm waiting to start too, and read it as from day 1-5 of period. Gp said to start on first day of period. Hope it will work!

GP told me just to slap it on straight away.
