How long hrt?

How long for any improvement ? I know 3 months but irl for you when did get start making a difference?

1 week. Hip and back pain completely gone!! 3 months in though I have symptoms creeping back in so trying to change my dose!

You get started on the absolute minimum dose of oestrogen, so if it's not working then it needs to increase.
I don't know if you 'HAVE' to get approval from a GP - I increased mine by trial and error (oestrogel) and have found the dose that works for me. My GP has been approving the 6 month repeat prescriptions for more bottles than I originally got, so I 'm assuming its OK.

I was hoping and expecting a big change after 3 months. The doctor who prescribed the HRT said it would probably be sooner. But after 3months and the check up with the doctor l felt I’d not had any improvement.
Now, 5 months in I’m feeling so much better, so it’s obviously taken much longer to have any effect on myself. I expect we’re all different.

Agree I increased to 3 pumps of oestrogel without consultation but I'm trying to move to patches. Contacting my doctor is like trying to talk to Jesus tbh!
