Estriol cream - does it help with itching?

Agh, my vulva is itching like mad. I’m peri menopausal, age 51, and after Googling, it seems like the itching is quite a common menopausal symptom, due to low oestrogen levels.

My question is, has anyone used this type of cream and if so, does it work - and how long does it take to start making a difference? It looks like I can now buy it OTC.

The itching is awkward, wakes me up at night, and is making me feel miserable!

I found it worked but it may take a few days to start with.
It may also sting at first if you're dry/sore down there.

Watching with interest! Also hoping that estrogen cream will help (tbh it hasn't so far but early days!)
