Peri HRT and greasy, itchy hair

I've been on Everol for a few months, recently started taking Utrogestan and Vagifem.

I've noticed I've mostly lost the curl in my hair (which sort of makes sense since I developed curly hair when I got my periods)

I am also noticing my hair is now greasy and itchy by day 3.

Has anyone else experienced this and has some hair care recommendations. I generally follow CGM

I'm on exactly the same hrt combo and experiencing the same greasy hair problem. I thought it was just me! I've not found a solution yet but feeling a bit better knowing I'm not the only one 😉

I started suffering really itchy scalp, I searched the leaflet that came with Evorel but couldn’t see anything about it. Sorry not CGM, I was using sulphate and paraben free shampoo but the itch was driving me to distraction.

I’ve spent a couple of years (& ££££!) trying to find some relief, I used to wash it every 2 days but it was horrendous so I’m now resolved to daily washing and I’ve found relief when using these

and As I am itchy and scratchy shampoo, beautizone.co.uk/products/as-i-am-dry-itchy-scalp-care-olive-tea-tree-oil-shampoo-12-oz

I’m alternating bottles, and doing the occasional shampoo with Nizorel a couple of times a month too.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. Glad I'm not alone.

I presently use an As I am product but not seen the tea tree oil version and will give both a try. Anything had to be better than how I feel right now

Super greasy hair after 3 months on everol sequi, my dose due to increase, any recommendations?

I started suffering with a really itchy scalp during peri about a year ago. It drove me crazy, mostly at the back of the scalp and back of my neck. I tried every shampoo for itchy scalps, and only the Aveeno shampoo calmed it down. It's not a dandruff itch so I found that things like Nizoral etc didn't help at all. Anti-histamines didn't do much either.

I have also had to completley stop dying my hair, I react to every dye I have tried. I now have a short pixie cut and grey hair, but at least it's not crazy itchy anymore. I haven't found HRT to help yet either.

L'Occitane do some lovely soothing shampoos. Have a look through the range. Mainly natural ingredients. Initially look a bit pricey but a 500ml bottle lasts me 6-8 weeks when washing my hair every 1 or 2 days.

Just looked on the L'Occitane website. The Purifying shampoo 500ml eco refill is £29. You can usually find voucher codes/discounts and free delivery on orders over £25.
