Doc suggested 200mg utrogestan pessaries?

Hi I am 50 and have been taking 2 x 100mg utrogestan vaginally for 12 days of my cycle. When I told my doctor I was taking it vaginally she was very unsure as she hadn't ever come across this. She suggested that I take the 200mg pessaries instead. I know these are for infertility rather than menopause. Does anyone have experience of using them as part of hrt? I am also wondering if I should actually take the utrogestan continuously, as I only have light spotting when I stop. Thank you for any help

I’m so fed up - I started HRT in Sept last year, 100mg of utrogestan100 and two pumps of gel. My symptoms were not that bad but I heard HRT was good for your bones etc in the long term. I had a month of hell but then things calmed down a bit. I can’t seem to get on with utrogestan it makes me feel so down and jittery, I came off it in January but peri menopause symptoms returned - mainly drying up everywhere and aches. For some reason I went back on it however the utrogestan part is not agreeing with me. I may try the Vaginal method but I’m just thinking of stopping altogether. Would you just stop or come off gradually. I seem at a loss , the information out there is all contradictory and I wonder if anyone really knows! I’d be happy if I could just take the oestrogel 😔
