Since Ive had symptoms of peri I've gained three stone.
I'm moody sad and snappy my periods are all over the place hot flushes mad anxiety. Very sensitive skin plus some vaginal dryness. I'm so fatigued at times to. Everything just feels like too much effort at the moment.
I'm due to speak to the menopause doctor early next month and I'm just starting to think is it even worth it I'm 40 not far off 41 plus the crazy BMI I have the doctor won't want to try hrt. Is it still worth talking to gp?

Being obese is not a contraindication for HRT.

However, being obese puts you at a high risk of all female cancers (and heart disease.) :( Far greater risk than HRT.

Can you get support for your weight and lose it? What has changed during peri so that you have gained a lot?
