Do people start smelling odd to you during peri menopause?

I mean, I expected it from teenagers, but now DH smells odd to me too.

Yes, my smell is odd at times. Hyper sensitive or smell weird things like burnt toast. In the summer all water smelt weird for a while.

My teenager really smells odd!

Isn't that teens?!

I keep worrying about that woman who smelt Parkinson's in her husband. I feel Dh smells less healthy. My ability varies hugely too, I'm not smelling much at the moment and yet smelt everything last week!

I think I'm peri menopausal ( at the stage of adding up symptoms and trying to work out if 1+1=2)

For the last week I've only been able to smell cigarette smoke. Well I can smell other things but when I'm sitting still at home, in bed, in the car, etc I can smell it. Nothing has changed in smell, this is just the predominant smell. All the time.

Am assuming this is another peri symptom..

And obvs I'm in a non smoking house, in the countryside, Im never near cigarette smoke 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've read of a lot of women smelling burnt things. It's v odd.

Well my only conclusion from all the googling I've done is that it's peri meno. I don't have sinus issues and can breathe clearly and I'm pretty certain I don't have a brain tumour!

So I'm adding it to my list of things that are 'wrong' with me at the moment that might add up to being peri.
