Has Estradiol/Norethindrone Helped Anyone???

Hi! I just started taking Estradiol/Norethindrone Acetate for perimenopause symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, irritability, depression, irregular periods). Has anyone had any success with this? I’m really hoping to feel better soon. This is only my second day. How long before I start to feel better?

Hi

i felt better after a few days but it didn’t last. Trouble with finding the correct dose. I think our own hormones surge/decline throughout our month. Once the dose is right you’ll start to feel better xx

Thank you for your response. I really hate feeling this way.😕

It’s awful isn’t it? Anxiety and tearfulness are my worst symptoms. I just don’t know what to do with myself. Just waiting for increase in dose to kick in! X

Hi , I too have had HRT increased, as my anxiety was so bad, even though I’m on anxiety meds. I’m on day 5 of increase, desperately waiting/hoping to feel better. I related to your comment about not knowing what to do with yourself, I’m signed off work , but it’s awful being home alone with your thoughts.

Hi Claire
I am off work too and the days are so long. The anxiety builds up then the awful thoughts start. It’s hard to distract myself. I just hope I start to feel better soon and you too xx

Unfortunately, it made no difference to me, despite experimenting with different doses. All that happened was I put on a bit of weight and my breasts got fuller (they are already big enough!). I gave it 6 months and came off. Feel better managing things naturally with an oestrogen rich diet and a few supplements. Hopefully you'll have a different experience.

Thanks for your replies. It is awful, Nik, for sure. I’m so sorry DrDetriment, that you haven’t noticed a difference.😕 I sure hope I don’t gain weight. I definitely don’t need that. Today is day 5 and I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but I seem to have a bit more energy. My fatigue was really, really bad. I hope it’s getting better. I’m pretty sure I’m on the lowest dose. Good luck to you all.
