Buying Androfemme online

My testosterone levels are low. I had a blood test with my GP. I'm tired, flat, thinning hair...

The levels are 122.6 of the something testosterone, and my FAI is 0.4%. Apparently the healthy NHS levels for FAI start at 0.4%.

My GP isn't "comfortable" prescribing testosterone so I cracked and ordered Androfemme from The Online Clinic. Their reviews are excellent. I had to do an online consultation with a doctor. I told them my testosterone levels and they prescribed Androfemme, with a follow-up blood test in 2-3 months.

Is this dodgy? Am I going to die?

Oh, I had a full hysterectomy in July so I don't have ovaries. I'm on 4 pumps of Oestrogel. (Through the GP! Not via Shein or anything.)

I am not an expert on testosterone for women but someone I know is on it.
I assumed that blood tests were needed now and then to check the levels? Who will do that for you?
It needs a careful titrating to get the right dose.

Just picked up this thread whilst searching for any news on when NICE will finally get around to authorising Androfeme for the NHS.

How are you doing now? I had my TAH in September and saw the Newson Health dr a few weeks post-op for a review. She increased my Oestrogel dose from 3 pumps to 4, and prescribed Androfeme followed by a blood test in January. This showed both my testosterone and oestrogen levels as smack in the middle of the normal range 😊

It took a couple of months for things to settle down but I feel so much better than before - brain fog diminished, night sweats and hot flushes gone, more energy and concentration, and a total turnaround in libido (DH is amazed and delighted 🤣). I feel like myself again after years of feeling tired and old. I’m just very grateful that I can afford to pay for this stuff. It’s making such a difference.

Androfeme doesn’t currently have a full MHRA licence for marketing in the UK, it’s just allowed to be imported from Australia on a named patient basis as a “special”. NICE won’t approve it for the NHS until it has a full licence granted by the MHRA. So it probably won’t be available on the NHS any time soon, unless there are things going on behind the scenes in terms of being granted a licence by the MHRA.
