Perimenopause?

Hi ladies, I’m turning 41 soon, my periods are very heavy for two days then stop which is unusual for me and I’ve been getting migraines before and after my cycle. I was wondering if it could be perimenopause before I go to the docs and if you had any experience of this? Thanks in advance

When I became perimenopausal this is exactly what my periods did. I became anaemic too because the bleed was so heavy so be careful of that. I also get migraines and during this time they aligned much more with my periods having not done so before. The doctor told me this was because of the oestrogen dip. Hope that helps. Good luck.

I agree with pp, my periods also became heavy for 2 days, and I also became anaemic. I had a Mirena put in to control that, and it also can be the progesterone part of HRT if you go that way.
Small changes like this are most probably the start of peri.
