Thick endometrium, what happens now ?

I have had a scan as a general check up, and my endometrium measured 7.5mm .
The person scanning me said that it should normally be 4 or less in post menopausal women, but that HRT can change this. I am waiting to talk to my gynae about it, but obviously a bit worried. I am on oestrogel/ultrageston, and the scan was close to the time I start my ultrageston, so I assume at around the time when my endometrium would be thickest ?
Everything else looked normal, I haven’t had any unusual bleeding .
i felt quite relaxed but I am now worried !

I had that. 14mm. Not on hrt. Led to biopsy but all came back fine. Had a check 6 months later and endometrium was back to normal despite no treatment. Good luck, hope you have your appt soon.

Hi I really need some advice - went for a third scan yesterday to check on cyst good news was they’ve gone. But my GP has just called and explained that they found my endometrium was 11mm and that irregular with some areas of calcification. She’s referred me for a hysteroscopy and I have to have a blood test tomorrow! After celebrating no more cysts I’m now terrified it’s something worst. I also came off HRT a month ago, and when I was scanned with the vaginal probe I had my period! Any advice welcome 🙏

Well my gynae has asked me to have another scan fairly soon, he mentioned possible biopsy which obvs I am keen to avoid . He wants to see how thick it is just at the end of my bleed.

I’ve had the two week referral - have to call tomorrow to book an appointment for a hysteroscopy! Thank you - I’ve been in tears all afternoon! Yes it was a transvaginal scan x
