Help! When to start utrogestan?!

Hi all. I'm hoping you can help as my GP hasn't got a clue (originally she prescribed 1 utrogestan tab for 12 days every 3 months until I pointed out that the dose she'd recommended might be wrong) and Google hasn't turned up the goods! I started estrogen gel (1 and a tiny bit pump wise per day) a week and a half ago, and thought I'd do 2 weeks on that to let it get going, then start my utrogestan for 12 days. Yesterday my period started. It's not as heavy as normal (which is usually extremely heavy - flooding etc) but probably about what a normal period was like for me before peri hit. So do I still start utrogestan this weekend as planned, which may then trigger another bleed, or leave it until 1st November so that I have a more normal cycle? My cycle can be anywhere from 3-6 weeks these days. I'm thinking that as the utrogestan is to protect the uterus by promoting a bleed, and as I've just had one, I can leave it until 1st November, which would be easier to remember each month? Or would that be risky? Thanks for any advice!

Assume a 28 day cycle from now on. So consider yesterday as day 1 of your cycle. Keep using the gel throughout and on day 15 start with 2 capsules of utrogestan at night on an empty stomach. Continue to take it for 12 days (last dose on day 26). Days 27 and 28 no utrogestan and the start the cycle again at day 1. And carry on that way. Hopefully that helps.
