Evorel Sequi Dose and increasing it.

I have been on Evorel Sequi for a number of years now, I am 51 and so it has been great. Recently however it is apparent that I need to increase my dose but as far as I know Sequi only exists in 50mg, correct me if I am wrong please.

If so then what did you ask for/were given when you needed to up the amount of estrogen? Did your GP prescribe 75 with Utrogeston tablets. I am calling for a review this morning but feel it is more useful to speak to my doctor having done the research myself.

Hi

I have Sequi plus a top up of Evorel 50 - so 2 patches at anyone time...

Works well so far as I get 100 of estrogen all the time plus progesterone from the Conti patches.

GP originally just suggested doubling up Sequi but that would mean double progesterone so I queried it and this was the outcome after she spoke to the pharmacist...

@Icantdoitagain Did you struggle or experience any problems going from 50 to 100 rather than from 50 to 75?

No - no issues at all - it was a great boost and really helped ...

I do need to do something about weight gain but otherwise peri symptoms greatly reduced - I was instantly able to function again at work and at home...

Tbh weight gain is due to lack of activity, too much wine n beer and eating too many carbs/ crap foods.... completely self inflicted 😂😂😂

Thanks , I wonder if I can be prescribed gel to effectively top up alongside the Sequi.

I had a chat with the GP clinical pharmacist, and I am going to get 75 patches with Utrogeston capsules. Hopefully that will be a fix, she also made positive noises when I asked her about testosterone being agreed at the practice so that is next on the agenda. I am posting in case someone else is wondering about tis.

How are you doing on the 75? I too am on sequi, Dr gave me gel and utrogestran on Friday however the oestrogen level is lower than my 50 patch! I need to call up tomorrow and either ask for right amount of gel or just switch to Evorel 75... Interested to see how it's going for anyone on the same :)

I was on Evorol Sequi for 3-4 years when it suddenly felt like it stopped working. My GP advised me to use 1 + 1/2 patch (cut with scissors) of both the Evorel 50 and Conti in sequence, or up to 2 x patches if I need it.

I feel much better, but I put on a stone instantly (I have never had issues with my weight) and the cut patches don’t stick well.

It seems odd as a longer term solution, the pharmacist questioned it, but I can’t speak to my GP easily to ask if there are other options.

Hopefully your 75 patches and capsules go well!

Absolutely fine BikeHike no issues here at all with the increase, I don't feel amazing but I suspect that is just general staying up too late on my part rather than anything else.
