Persistent sore breasts

I’m on month 4 of taking 2 x Utrogestan per day for 14 days and 2 x sandrena gel everyday. I’m noticing I have persistent sore breast regardless of the time of the month it is and where in the cycle I’m taking Utrogestan. I’ve never suffered with sore breasts before so this is all new to me, but the soreness is all surrounding the nipple area. Anyone ever had this and does it go when a few months of hrt have passed?

It should stop after a few weeks op.

Mine are really painful any time we tweak the dose.

Thanks for your replies. I was just a bit worried as it’s the fourth month. Feel like it should wear off more not remain. Bloody hormones!

I've just switched from patches to gel and mine are so painful, especially around the nipple area. It's horrible. I've reduced the amount of gel and that made it a bit better. So it could be that your estrogen dose is too high. Could you ask GP about lowering it slightly?

I was wondering that myself, drop to one sachet a day for a week and see if it makes a difference. It’s annoying because mood wise, hot flushes etc have all but disappeared and I’m feeling great in myself so afraid to rock the boat. However with even clothes brushing them feeling sore, it’s not something I can live with day in day out. May do a little experiment and see how I feel overall after just one sachet.

I've also stopped applying it to my arms (applying to thighs instead). I have no idea if it makes any difference but my breasts were so painful I wanted to keep the gel as far away from my breasts as possible!

I’ve always done thighs so I’m ok on that one 😀
