Too much estrogen

Hi all need some help, I had my total hysterectomy in Dec 2012 been on 2mg on estrogen (Zumeron) ever since but this last year or so put on an awful lot of weight plus now in this last few month getting real bad skin and was wondering could I be now getting Too much estrogen, any advice please.

No, unlikely.

But you could try dropping to 1mgs- depends on your age. If you are under 52 - average age of menopause- you may need 2mgs to protect your bones and heart. If you are in your 50s or 60s a lower dose might be enough.

weight gain in midlife is often down to moving around less and eating the same as when we were more active in our 30s and 40s.

As I said I am 55, I work 2 days a week and on my feet all the time, I dunno or worried about reducing in case my hot flushes and all that come back but on the other hand I hate being FAT and my skin around my nose, chin are covered in red marks with white pus like spots and I have never had bad skin like that and was wondering if it is too much estrogen.
