Which patches?

Hi - just looking for some advice. I am perimenopausal, and my GP has agreed to me trialling HRT. I was hoping for either gel or spray, but stock in my area is so patchy, I have admitted defeat, and instead have a prescription for Estradiol patches. I believe this is a generic name, to allow my pharmacist to dispense whichever brand is in stock.

However - if there are multiple brands available, which one should I ask for (if I get the chance!)? Or is it really just the luck of the drawer which ones work for me?

Thanks, Mary, that is helpful. I'm not sure I fancy a gel - I imagine them to be quite sticky, and taking a while to dry. Plus we have patchy supply of them too near me. I'm not thrilled about patches, but I'd rather something I know I can get reliably.
