Using Utrogestan vaginally & V painful periods

I have been having the most excruciating periods recently and I think they began when I started using Utrogestan vaginally. Anyone else had this?

I have had them on and off in the past but it is every month now and I have had to miss work. I'm worried about upcoming appointments, work etc and trying to plan my life around my period. I'm not heavy at all just crazy painful (think wanting to vomit, writhing in pain, crying, faint, jelly legs).
It seems to have been regularly since using Utrogestan vaginally - the side effects orally weren't good for me but I'm wondering about trying again incase the pain is linked to it?

Any thoughts or similar experiences?
