Anyone prescribed utrogestan for 3 weeks out of 4?

I saw a private menopause GP who recommended taking utrogestan for 3 weeks out of 4 (I hadn't been on it before as I'm in Scotland and it wasn't easily available so didn't realise people usually get it prescribed for two weeks).

My regular GP was happy to write the prescription for 3 weeks out of 4, but asked if I knew why it was for 3 weeks rather than 2, but I don't know!

Anyone had it prescribed for 3 weeks or understand what circumstances would lead it to be prescribed for longer than 2 weeks?
