Menopausal, 54 and no period for 2 years, bo HRT so far. F
or the las 8 days or so I've been feeling like I did while ovulating and pre-period. It started with sore and heavy breasts, and then I started feeling odd twinges in both ovaries, alternating sides, stringy/ mucous discharge, clear or a bit yellow, no blood... it feels very hormonal, and it's happened a couple of times since my last period, but this time I've made a doctor's app for next week. Also last week I was getting furious hot flushes, but they are better this week. Anyone can relate to this?

Your GP probably can't do a lot TBH.
They can't find much through a blood test.
If you had real bleeding you'd be scanned etc under the 2-week rule.
Most women do not resume ovulation after 2 years but it's not an exact science! I did have some periods regularly for 18 months after an FSH test at 51 said I was post meno.

Thanks for your reply! Yes, that makes sense as it really feels hormonal. I am considering going private for a HRT consultation as I'm so fed up.
