Thinking of switching hrt

I've been on Lenzetto almost a year.
I hate taking the utrogestan for 2 weeks a month. Makes me feel huge.

I'm at 3 sprays a day.
I am feeling anxiety returning & feeling really irritated with DH in particular.

Wondering if the patches might work better?

Has anyone made this switch before? Did things improve?

Have you tried the utrogestan vaginally?

Summerhillsquare · 24/09/2022 16:15

I've tried pills, gel and patches now and the latter seems to work the best for me, but it does seem to be very personal. The progesterone phase is awful, hate the bloody stuff.

I've only tried patches and I think I'd find it too faffy to be using gel in my current busy mornings but I do find if I use the utrogestan progesterone vaginally I have no issues at all.

I'm going to try adding testosterone I think.

Ah ok. I have been considering switching to continuous but periods are v light even on higher patches. So one tablet daily vaginally which is slightly less overall in the body but would hopefully stop any bleeding.

Or it could be that you need more oestrogen to counter the effects?
