Using leftover half patch - is it safe/effective?

Hi all, I’ve been on Estradot 50mcg and feel like my symptoms (mainly anxiety) are juuust barely controlled, with a ‘high’ 1-2 days on each new patch and then a massive crash on the day my patch is due to be changed. I’m thinking of trying 75mcg (a patch and a half) but can I stick the leftover half back in its packaging for 3 days and then use it later in the week? Will it still work? Would be glad to hear from anyone who’s doing this.

Cut it in half before you take it off it’s backing.
Thats what the HRT nurse told me to do.

Thanks for this. I think I'm OK with cutting the patch but I'm just wondering if the half I don't use can be kept and used 3 days later or should I just bin it as it's been opened?

The second half is fine to keep in the packet and use after 3 or 4 days. My GP advised this for me and no problems st all. It keeps just fine.
