Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me?
I’ve just been put on HRT (progesterone pill x 2 on day 15 of every 28 day cycle plus the patch twice weekely) but am still taking the mini pill so therefore don’t have a cycle. Can anyone just clarify do I take the progesterone pill on day 15 (of my pill) every month?
i can’t face trying to speak to the doctors again 🤦🏼‍♀️
I’m really hoping HRT will start making me feel normal!! Thank you

Yes.

If you went to a menopause specialist, they could probably increase the mini pill dose to give you the progestogen needed for HRT and it would also work as contraception. (I only know this as my consultant discussed the mini pill as one type of progesterone for HRT when I was looking to switch to a different type. It would have been 3 pills a day.)

Your GP is unlikely to know this however. It's more 'specialist' stuff.

Oh thank you so much! Thought that was the case but wanted to be sure. That's interesting about the mini pill? Definitely wasn't mentioned to me but that would be so much easier.

Have you found you feel better on HRT?
