So I've been on oestrogen patches for two weeks and due to start progesterone tomorrow. I'm 48 and have had really flat mood amongst the other usual symptoms.
I have this nice warm fuzzy feeling inside, and suddenly have emotional energy for people and feel motivated to do things again. I felt 'empty' before.
Is this the HRT? It's like a light being fully switched on that I didn't realise had been gradually dimmed, if that makes sense?
Only downside is migraines have been worse but they did warn that might happen to begin with.

You sound exactly like me! I am 48 soon to be 49. Just finishing my 3rd month of evorel sequi and felt an uplifting almost within the first 2 weeks. I too have noted my headaches being worse but as giving it a further 3 months to assess.

That does sound similar! Hopefully the migraines will settle once the body gets used to it.
TBH I'll take the migraines for now in return for feeling like I have a soul again!
I honestly felt so empty inside, but having had a fair bit of anxiety and depression in the past I could tell it was something different.
I can't believe I'm on HRT in my 40s, I honestly thought it was something for women in their 60s! So glad I had a couple of enlightening conversations and thank gif for Davina McAll
