Does FSH test work while breastfeeding?

I think I may be going straight from postpartum to perimenopause. Initially I thought it was postpartum sweats but it has continued on much longer - never been more sweaty in my life. Want to check FSH levels but am wondering if breastfeeding and the associated hormones will render the test inaccurate?

That's a good point - I started hrt when breastfeeding and had lots of meno symptoms. (But he was a toddler - I possibly wouldn't till over 6 months or 1 as it did reduce supply slightly.)

When I did some googling I found research that breastfeeding can keep the ovaries ticking over for longer (amh levels? ) but reduces oestrogen a bit. I don't know if that's therefore linked to fsh, though sounds like it might.

The research I found showed no evidence of transdermal oestrogen entering milk supply.
