When do you move from Sequi to Conti?

Been on Evorel Sequi for two years (from the age of 48) with no checks from GP (I'm in NI and GP services are really poor for non-urgent stuff, but I check my own weight and BP and they're fine). He just keeps reissuing the same prescription, no questions asked. Over the last few weeks I have been noticing symptoms creeping back - hot flushes, headaches, sore eyes. Went for a hillwalk yesterday which is normally fine and the sweat was pouring off me! I feel that it is particularly bad when I move from the combi patch to the oestrogen-only one, which was Monday. Does it sound as if I need to be on either continuous HRT or a higher dose of oestrogen? TBH I really could do without a pretend 'period' as well, blood loss is tiring and the expense of protection is a pain. Do women of 50 usually transition from sequential to continuous without much bother? My GP has always been a bit of a PITA about HRT and was sceptical about my need to be on it at all, seemed to think I was too young.

I was on Sequi for 4 years, have been moved to Conti only and I have been bleeding for 10 days so far, headaches and no energy at all.

Oh god, that sounds awful. Hope it settles down, maybe better the devil you know...
