Just so effing hot! AND on heavy, crampy period. The XX chromosome sucks!

Just a rant really. So fed up of being hot all the time - I feel like Martin Goodman in Friday Night Dinner (what a classic - I miss that programme so much). And also really fed up of suffering from peri symptoms WHILE STILL HAVING PERIODS. I mean, I know that's how it goes, but FGS surely it should be one or the other? Anyone else want to rant?!

Yes, I hear you LaMigraine

I get duped into thinking 'this/that was my last period' because it is late and then I'm clobbered with a heavy/clot ridden period. I had to undergo a hysteroscopy because of this (fortunately all clear) but it is rubbish. I feel almost housebound today because of it. I need to attend an appointment tomorrow and wondering if there is going to be more of the same. I've been in this zone for a few years now and just wish the menopause would finally arrive.

Brain fog/insomnia/joint aches etc. I've had enough. I have youngish dc too and losing the period aspect would certainly be a big improvement.

Whoops- the menopause doesn't bring the end to your symptoms, it just brings the end to bleeding.

A lot of women only start with brain fog/ aching joints etc etc once their periods are over.

That's why some use HRT for years (and for ever in some instances.)

Yes, but as per op's original post...the heavy bleeding aspect is one less thing to have to contend with.

Unable to take HRT here, so, happy for what ever release is available...and stopping bleeding is one as far as I'm concerned.
