Just reading some threads and it seems I'm alone? I take one utrogestan tablet every day & 2 pumps of oestrogen gel every day & every second day a pea size pump of tostran testosterone.
Feel great on them.
Anyone else take utrogestan every day? X

Women without their own periods take it daily, 100mgs daily, as they are post menopause. This is combined/ continuous HRT.

Women in peri /with some occasional periods usually take 200mgs on a cycle for 12 days a month. This is sequential HRT.

HRT comes as two types - as above.

I am taking 100 mg everyday and I am at peri stage and have periods, I am 48 - I am just following what it writes on the tablet box- should I ask my GP?

Hi menopausal since 35 now 43 on utrogestan but I take vaginally 200 mg everyday and I'm on oestrogen implant.

Afterfire · 13/09/2022 23:05

I take it every day - I take one 100mg tablet at night, 2 pumps of oestrogel and I’m on the mini pill as extra progesterone and to stop my periods (I have lupus and had clotting during periods and didn’t want them anymore). I am 41 and have been on this regime since 37, I am in early menopause due to autoimmune issues. (Newson health originally started me on this method and then the NHS menopause specialist I saw agreed it was working for me and to keep with it).

Hi i take 100mg utrogestan everyday, 2 pumps Oestrogel, no Trostan, doctor won't prescribe it as not able to unless i go private.
Im on month 6 of this regime, had 2 breakthrough bleeds, hoping this will stop as prior to starting hrt i had been 12months no period 🤔

beachcitygirl · 14/09/2022 12:16

I think its 1 a day if continuous and 2 if just for 2 weeks a month (peri)

SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows · 14/09/2022 17:33

Yes one per day 200 mg. You have to also remember that vaginally lots of is out 🤣in the morning.

Artyfarty555 · 14/09/2022 18:26

Yes, I take it daily… 1 tablet every evening and two pumps of oestrogel every morning. I’d not had a period for 18months previous to starting this. No bleeding or breast tenderness ..but stomach area is getting bigger!

SamR36 · 15/09/2022 07:48

@Artyfarty555 do you mind me asking how long you have been on hrt. I am on same regime, i hadnt had a period for 12months so put on continious, ive been on it 6 months and had 2 bleeds since August.
I know it states you can have breakthrough bleeds up to six months but to not see for a year then start seeing is a bit grim 😏

Artyfarty555 · 15/09/2022 16:33

I’ve been on that dose for a few days under 3 months. Fortunately I’ve had no break through bleeding.

SamR36 · 16/09/2022 00:21

Ah great, glad to hear it.
Im hoping this will stop for me as the hrt is working well for me apart from this blip.

Artyfarty555 · 16/09/2022 07:21

Pleased its working for you. Can l ask where you apply the gel? I put it on my inner thighs but seems to take a while to dry, but l suppose it will take the same time whenever l put it!

LaVieEstBelle159 · 16/09/2022 07:54

2 years no periods. Utrogestan 100mg and Sandrena gel 1mg every night. 4 months in heavy bleeding 20+ days, 10 off and increase in migraines, especially late afternoon/evening.

Moved to patches for a couple of weeks but off hrt for the moment and bleeding has stopped, however now back to not sleeping and joint pain.

I agree with @Artyfarty555 the weight around the middle - 5lbs in 4 months 😫😫

SamR36 · 16/09/2022 08:51

@Artyfarty555 i put it inner thighs & outside of upper arms. The supply became difficult to get at one point due to shortage yet lately it seems to be in every pharmacy 🤞🏼 give it a try, Oestrogel i use. Tried Sandrena, i didnt get on with it
