Implant and periods getting longer and closer

Think I’m experiencing peri menopause. I’m early 40s and have been using the contraceptive implant for 7 years with no issues. But for the last few months my periods are getting longer and closer together. Will getting the implant taken out improve this, I’m feeling weak and tired due to all this bleeding but don’t want the implant out if the situation won’t change as I have liked the implant. Anyone experienced this?

Hi
I have the implant and think I’m peri- menopausal as my periods were getting quite erratic and had brain fog, low mood, fatigue The doctor was great, she did a blood test for various things. All came back fine but suggested I could be peri- menopausal so I’ve just started hrt but keeping the implant in. She has also referred me for a scan to check my cervix . Hrt to be reviewed in 3 months
