Daft question progesterone pill

Hiya, I have been prescribed vaginal oestrogen, gel oestrogen and a progesterone pill and am excited to hopefully get rid of some (hopefully all!) my peri-menopause symptoms

The oestrogen instructions are easy but the progesterone says take on days "15 to 28 of a 28 day cycle"

I always thought cycle was my monthly/period cycle but my periods have been erratic for a while now and my cycles span from 34 days to 153 days (currently 62 days since a period, previous were 26, 29, 34 days).

Do I just take progesterone for 2 weeks then stop for 2 weeks etc?

I think those instructions are saying take for 2 weeks and stop for two weeks. Days 13 to 28 is 14 days? With regards to your cycle, if you're not sure where you are, start with the estrogen for 2 weeks and then add in the progesterone for 2 weeks, the HRT should take over your own cycle.

PS should have also said the meno docs tell you to normally start taking progesterone on the same date every month as it's easier to remember. I was always told to start taking it on the 15th of every month.
