Anyone post menopausal had blood with a uti?

Twelve days ago I started with urgency to wee I was unable to hold it so had to be quick!
It started to burn as wee came out and the burnished down there lasted continuously for about twelve hours and intensified when I had to wee.
I got a fright as when I wiped there was red blood on tissue and in the toilet and this continued on and off for 48 hours roughly, when I thought of it I remenber now seeing orange tiny spots in my underwear a week or so previously ( probably diluted blood) .
Obviously I saw a doctor but not my usual doctor but he didn't even answer when I mentioned I had red blood and I was worried as my last period was in 2016 but I did spot and bleed I occasionally for a year or so after.
I'm presuming it's ok as he didn't seem interested that I had red bleeding with the uti, I've had many uti infections but never had red blood before or any bleeding only invisible blood found on dipping the urine.
Anyone else post menopausal had red bleeding with a uti? Put my mind at rest please!!

Yes! A couple of times. I was quite prone to UTIs for a bit and I bled with two of them I think. I was a bit freaked out initially but the GP wasn’t concerned. I haven’t had any other bleeding since I stopped my periods.

@Peridot1 Thank you that's reassuring to hear I was getting scared x

Always used to pass blood if I had a rip roaring UTI - and visible to the eye, not just on the dipstick. Have far fewer UTIs since I started using Vagifem (HRT pessary which aims to sort dryness and plump things up a bit; my gynae likened my 50 year old vagina to that of an 80 year old before treatment 😮 . . )
