Period suddenly stopped - is this meno?

Hi - I am 49, had my last period four months ago . Until then it had been very regular .

no other symptoms except missed period

my mum had her last period at 54so am feeling like it’s quite early for me still

is it worth going to dr ? Feel totally normal otherwise !

Might be helpful for you to google peri menopause.

Periods don't usually just stop for good overnight. More normal is to miss a few then more normal ones and so on for years.

You are post menopause, or 'in menopause' when you have not had a period for 12 consecutive months.

No you don't need to see a dr.
They will just tell you it's peri menopause.
