HRT and saunas

I may have made this up but I think I read somewhere that you shouldn’t use saunas if you use oestrogel (due to an eostrogen surge) I have been using the gel for a week and usually go swimming 3 times a week with 5 mins in the sauna afterwards. Have avoided the sauna this week but would really like to start doing my 5 mins again, have I made this up?

Been on the gel for about 8 years. Been in loads of saunas / steam rooms with no issue at all. Didn't know this and was not told it, nor can I find it on the leaflet in the box.

Go. Get out if you feel too hot / unwell. No doubt there are plenty of Nordic women who sauna for hours on HRT gel.

I mean I literally take HRT to avoid the feeling that I'm constantly in a sauna 😂 But if it's something you enjoy then give it a try I guess, just get out if you feel unwell?

I don't know what you mean by using saunas and an estrogen surge.

It doesn't exist AFAIK (saunas/ hrt/ estrogen surges.)

You do have to allow and hour after applying gel before swimming, showers, applying body lotions.

Thanks all so glad I’ve made it up....

I'm sure I read somewhere that if you have patches you can have a surge of hormones released from them if you use a sauna or hot tub. Can't see how using the gel could possibly cause a surge as there is no reservoir from which to surge. I can see how there might be a surge from a patch, but even that might not be true.

Yes Lenzetto HRT spray also says that about saunas. But I can’t find an explanation for it. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I love saunas. Has anyone got to the bottom of this?
