Thoughts on HRT

I'm considering asking the doctor for HRT and was just wondering what other womens' views are on this treatment. I've been feeling rubbish for while now with the normal symptoms but it's the extreme low mood and negative feelings I've been having lately which is really making me reconsider taking it. I've not had a period in 4 years due to having a Mirena coil fitted and they were sporadic before then so I just don't know where I'm at.

Having had a hysterectomy at 28 menopause kicked in an frankly the longer it went on I started to feel I wasn't myself. I had a fog that I just couldn't lift I wanted to be on my own my sex drive went an I felt like my body wasn't mine . But finally HRT after a month I'm feeling more like my old self No more night sweats No embarrassing day sweats My feelings for a sexual relationship are returning With everything starting to feel normal the only down side with all the hormones back... my boobs have been sore an I've had thrush.... but I feel normal again.....
So HRT has helped me

That's interesting, I too just want to be on my own, everybody in one way or another is just an irritation to me at the moment.

If you already have a mirena then if suitable you could try Oestrogel. Supply has been tricky lately but it’s considered the “gold std” HRT. It’s helped me feel more human over the last few years.
