HRT v Herbal

Hi,
I am really struggling with anxiety, mood swings and tiredness. I started HRT 3 months ago but not working and to get an appointment with a doctor who understands the menopause is ridiculous
What are your views on HRT v herbal - as I know I can walk into Holland and Barratts and get herbal medication.?
Couldn't cope at work, left, continuously arguing with husband feeling so useless and low
Your advise will be greatly received.

Keep trying to get a doctor. It took me a couple of tries of different HRT to get one that worked. I also used agnus castus for mood as well as menopace. But alongside the HRT.

I don’t think it’s likely that anything herbal is going to off the same bone protection as HRT. Is there a nurse that does HRT appointments at your surgery? Our nurses are more up to date HRT wise than a lot of the Drs (depending on the ages of the Drs)

Herbs are unlikely to help much but you could try some, but be aware they are 'plugged' as being wonderful when the actual medical research shows only a little benefit. (Black cohosh and agnus castus are two to try.)

You're probably on too low a dose of estrogen or the wrong kind of progestin.
What are you taking?
