Shall I stop progesterone once my period starts?

I'm still having periods. 25 day cycles. Patches across the month, progestogene from day 14 until 28 data, except of course my period arrived today on day 25. Do I stop the progesterone now or carry on and complete the 14 days?

First month my period arrived on day 18. Doctor said that aim is that your body follows the tablets rather than the other way around (as your body’s hormone production is lessening). I read that early bleeding can be a sign of too much oestrogen relative to progesterone. Also read that taking progesterone with food can increase absorption and my doctor is happy for me to have it with my last meal of the day.

So if not clear her guidance was to take it day 15-28 regardless of bleeding etc..

You MUST take the full course of progesterone no matter when your period starts. This is really important, it balances the estrogen and stops your womb lining getting too thick which can lead to cell changes. I got a full on lecture from my GP when she realised I hadn't been doing this!

Wow! My assumption was I would stopping taking it now. Thank God I asked. Thank you so much 💐💐
