Starting HRT and weight gain

Hello, I wondered how other people have found this correlates if at all?

I had a Mirena coil fitted for HRT along with oestrogen gel on 5 July. I weighed 10 stone 10. Today I weigh 11 stone 6 (although admittedly a night weigh).

As context, I went up to 10 stone seven after the first lockdown in 2020 from 10 stone four, maintained that until February this year when I stopped smoking, and gained 3lb. So it seems like a LOT of weight in three weeks with no real change to eating! I am pretty active and average about 100,000 steps a week.

has anyone had similar and it settled down?

Thanks for reading if you did, and thanks in advance for any replies.

I found my weight went up by 1kg+ in the first 10 days of starting HRT. It has become 'normal' since but is really needing me to stay low on carbs to ensure thing (along with exercise).
