First ever missed period - is this it??

My period is ten days late - this is my first ever missed period. I'm 52, not far off 53 so it was bound to happen. I've also been utterly exhausted for the past two weeks. No mojo for usual activities at all. Normally I'd put this down to being pre menstrual but if it is pre menstrual, it's lasting ages! Normally I get a bit of spotting a couple of days before to warn me it's definitely on the way, but nothing so far.

I realise menopause manifests differently in every woman, but when did you start to miss periods? Just curious. I have a friend who barely noticed the menopause, simply missed a period one month then never had another.

Obviously I've experienced lots of changes in my body, skin, energy, etc. Never had hot flushes though. Also had covid a couple months ago but have had a period since then, as normal.

I feel a bit in limbo. Waiting and wondering.

Definitely not pregnant!! 😇

I started having missed periods at least 6 years ago and I'm 52 this year and have had no periods for 2 years.

It's so interesting to hear other women's experiences around menopause. Women's periods just stop, others go a bit haywire. At the moment I'm bloated, almost as if it's about to burst forth, but it clearly isn't or at least is in no rush!

Should've said "Some women's periods..."
