A never ending period ?

Hi - obviously not looking for medical advice but experiences -
been on HRT for about a year
had very intermittent light periods
now for last few weeks had very dark brown period that isn’t stopping ….
I will speak to GP if it keeps going but just wondered if anyone else had this ??

I was changed to Evorel Conti patches two months ago and I’ve had a constant “period” of dark brown blood ever since. Not spotting, a full flow as used to get for the middle few days of my period.

Emailed the surgery (only way to contact them) and response was that I didn’t need an appointment as this is “normal”. I am beyond fed up and TBH not being able to have sex (yes I know we COULD but don’t like the idea while bleeding) is bringing us both down.

mine is very light, only on wiping generally. It been going on weeks …..
I upped my dose of the gel and I wonder if that’s anything to do with it ??
what were u on before the patches ?

I was on the sequi patches before and bled for the two weeks where it was combined patches and that’s why I was moved to conti. The doc reckoned it would fix it.

I am thinking of stopping HRT TBH. Just wish I could actually see a doctor - have not seen one since long before covid and all this HRT stuff has been done by econsult and one telephone conversation.

Same - mines all been remote access to GP

really not happy with constant spotting
but don’t want to go back to hot flushes and brain drain -
rock and a hard place 😩
