Haven't eaten carbs for weeks. Still look about 6 months pregnant. How the hell can I get my old tummy back???? 😢

I ate quiche and salad for 2 weeks and didn’t pig out and I put on a pound ffs. in past 4 months I’ve put on 7 pounds now I’m on day 50 since my last period I’m hoping the weight starts going down it’s bloody awful

@JasmineVioletRose If you tummy is bloated it might be worth seeing your GP just to rule out anything serious.

Cutting out carbs isn't a magic solution. It depends on what you are eating instead and how much of it :)

It's more bloated since HRT. Definitely gets worse in the progesterone phase.
I'm just getting fed up really with how hard it seems to be to shift.
Laying off refined carbs certainly helps with my digestion.
The HRT has also made my boobs enormous. Hence the pregnant look.
Absolutely no point in going to my doctors about it.

@JasmineVioletRose I assumed you meant your tummy was big and bloated. This can be a sign of ovarian cancer which is why I mentioned it.
Obviously without other symptoms it's not applicable to you but medical advice is to get long term bloating checked.

Have you just started hrt?

If so this should pass. I spent 3 months with big boobs but everything eventually went back to normal once my body got used to the meds.

10 months. Literally blow up when I take the progesterone. It's awful.

@JasmineVioletRose The solution could be to change the type of hrt or the dose.

Are you on gel and utrogestan?

Whatever estrogen you are on (gel/tablet/ patch) it's worth thinking about reducing the dose. You might find that helps the big boobs without affecting your symptoms.

There are many other options, like Femoston (tablets), patches which contain Norethisterone as the progestin, or the Mirena coil.

You can also take Norethisterone as a tablet (not part of the patches) and use gel, but I think a GP would perhaps need to ask a more experienced dr about the dose (I used that combo for years - private consultant- then switched to utrogestan about 8 years ago.

You do have options!
