Urgent - which patch/gel ?

GP ringing today. What gel or patch should I ask for ? Already got Mirena.
I think I’d prefer gel as I’m reading about a lot of problems with the patches.

You’ll get what they can get 😂.
supplies are very dodgy at the moment everywhere and availability varies.

I tend to get a rash with plasters, so wondered if gel would be best.

I was very happy on Lenzetto spray but sadly they can't get it. The gel wasn't available either so I've had to have the patches.

Estradot patches don't tend to cause rashes, it's the bigger ones like evorel which can for some.
The good thing about a patch is that you only change every 3 or 4 days so you don't need to remember as much.

It’s the body identical I ask for, is that tight ?

Yes, body identical. I know the estradot is body identical. I think the body identical gel is called oestrogel but that's from memory and I may be wrong. Sure there are other body identical options but I don't know them. Google is your friend.

Hope you got sorted. Patches are fine. GPs have local prescribing guidelines they follow anyway. Ours aren’t offering gel to new patients due to the shortages.

Yes I did !
I got Oestrogel, GP said no trouble getting it at our chemist.
And she’s given me the vaginal oestrogen pessaries in case I need them in the future.
Fingers crossed it works 🤞🏻
Just off to start a thread on any tips for application of the gel.
